Fighting for Faith Part 3: Enemies of Faith.

Jun 7, 2026    Youth Pastor Austen Morton

This powerful message confronts us with a challenging truth: we are called to be saints, not just Sunday attendees. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 1:2 and 1 Timothy 6:12, we're reminded that being sanctified in Christ means being set apart exclusively for God's use. The sermon opens our eyes to a sobering reality—sometimes we get so caught up in church activities, fellowship, and good things that we miss the hurting person standing right beside us. We're challenged to shift from a consumer mindset to a contributor mindset in our faith communities. The message dives deep into the enemies that wage war against our faith: ignorance of God's Word, lack of understanding our identity in Christ, failure to exercise our spiritual authority, complacency, and negative confession. Through 2 Corinthians 5:17, we're reminded that we are new creations with a new nature, made righteous in Christ Jesus. This isn't just theology—it's the foundation for approaching God with confidence. When we grasp that we've been given authority to use the name of Jesus, that our prayers as righteous people avail much, and that God supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory, our faith transforms from weak hoping into powerful believing. The call is clear: fight the good fight of faith by gaining knowledge, acting on God's Word, and speaking only words that align with His promises.
