Fighting for Faith Part 4: Building and Growing Unshakeable Faith

Jun 14, 2026    Youth Pastor Austen Morton

This powerful message reminds us that even when life feels like checkmate, the King always has one more move. Drawing from Hebrews 4:12 and 2 Timothy 3:16-17, we're challenged to understand that God's Word is living, active, and sharper than any two-edged sword. The central revelation here is our redemption in Christ—we've been transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light through Jesus' blood. Colossians 1:12-14 becomes our declaration of freedom, showing us that Satan has no authority over believers. The chess painting illustration powerfully demonstrates that what looks like defeat to the world is never the final position when we serve the God of the impossible. We overcome the enemy by two things: the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11). This means our confession matters—what we speak over our lives either builds faith or tears it down. The message calls us to stop speaking defeat, sickness, and doubt, and instead proclaim the truth of who we are in Christ. When we align our words with God's Word and stand in our redemption, we position ourselves for breakthrough. Faith isn't built by casual Bible reading, but through dedicated, focused time alone with God, allowing His Word to transform our minds and renew our spirits.
