Fighting for Faith
This powerful message confronts us with a fundamental reality: we are in a spiritual battle, and our faith is the primary target. Drawing from John 10:10, we're reminded that while Jesus came to give us abundant life—life that overflows—our enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. The battlefield isn't just external circumstances; it's in our minds, our thoughts, and our understanding of who God is. Through the story of Abraham in Romans 4, we discover what victorious faith looks like: Abraham didn't consider his circumstances or the impossibility of what he saw. Instead, he was fully convinced that what God promised, God was able to perform. This isn't passive belief—it's active warfare. We must bring every thought into captivity, speak God's word over our lives, and refuse to lean on our own understanding. The challenge is clear: will we be like Thomas, demanding to see before we believe, or like Abraham, believing God's word regardless of what we see? Faith comes by hearing the word of God, which means building our faith requires intentional, consistent engagement with Scripture. When symptoms scream, when circumstances contradict, when our minds want to doubt—that's when we fight by declaring what God says is true.
